Hillcrest High School received the designation as a Alabama Math, Science, and Technology Initative (AMSTI) Demonstration Site and as an Alabama Engineering Academy following a competitive selection process. Our math department completed year two of AMSTI's summer institute and is excited to share this program with our students. As part of its Engineering Academy, Hillcrest will partner with the University of Alabama School of Engineering and Mercedes-Benz to provide students with greater opportunities for preparation for careers in math and sciences. Both AMSTI and the Engineering Academy will prepare our students for successful futures in the fields of science and engineering.
